spiaggia di punta penne and it's tower

The beautiful beaches of Punta Penne, just north of the city, extend along the final stretch of the Apani coast, in the territory of the municipality of Brindisi. Spiaggia di Punta Penne is named after the point on the South side where an old watchtower can still be visited.  It's an area of centuries-old dunes, fine sand and transparent water.

Well equiped beaches
The long stretches of fine sand, surrounded by centuries-old dunes and embellished with the scent of the Mediterranean scrub, alternate with stretches of low rocky coast that overlook the coastline open to winds and currents. Vast areas of free bathing alternate with some beaches equipped with all comforts, offering several beach clubs, where it's possible to taste the typical cuisine of Brindisi or sip a cocktail under the umbrella and then relax or venture into the sea with water sports. There is also no shortage of dog areas for four-legged friends.
